744 units of the B-52 series were built at a cost which varied by version, from one hundred million dollars for the B-52B (USD adjusted to 2016 value). 193 units of the B-52G were built. The B-52G entered service in 1959, most were destroyed under the provisions of the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.
