855 F-94s were built, the unit cost of the F-94C was $534,073 USD. This model was significantly different from earlier versions of the F-94 and was originally designated the F-97. This model carried rockets in both the nose pod and in wing pods. However, rockets fired from the nose pod could cause engine flameout in the F-94 and their smoke could temporarily obscure the vision of the pilot.
