Grumman/General Motors TBM-3E Avenger

War Eagles Air Museum, Santa Teresa, New Mexico
The TBM Avenger was designed to be a torpedo bomber but
was also used as a “glide bomber”.  This is the type of aircraft
that the first President George Bush flew during the Second
World War and the type of aircraft he was flying when he was
shot down.
