Consolidated Fleet Model 7 - 1931 Pearson Air Museum, Vancouver, WA, USA November 2, 2007 From on-site signage: “This 1931 Fleet was originally purchased by the local Chinese Benevolent Association to train pilots after the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. The following year it was purchased by Leah Hing, the first Chinese-American woman to take flight training. Hing later sold the Fleet to Lacy & Edward R. Murrow after they damaged the plane while landing. In 1941 this Fleet underwent an extensive overhaul. The Kinner K-5 motor was replaced with the larger B-5, a larger fin and rudder were installed, and other changes were made to convert the Fleet from a Model 2 to a Model 7.
