The Trojan was the trainer used by the U. S. Air Force and U. S. Navy between 1955 and 1967. The U. S. also used this type of aircraft for counter-insurgency during the Vietnam War. 1,948 of these aircraft were built for the U.S. military. Variations of the T-28 were built later for the Brazilian Air Force and for general aviation.
